Morning Skies

The night side of the world
Turns and starts a fire in the sky
The fire then cools down
By the bone chill of the night to come
And in-between
I see the luminous
Incandescent
Cinders.

Venus in the east
Floating in a carpet of blue and black
Weaved by the wandering people of Thar.

The Alcatif
The Qali
The Dari and
The Shatranji
Blue, Blue
Blue plumbago blue
Periwinkle blue
Blue bonnet blue
Deep ocean blue
Cobalt blue
Lapis lazuli blue
Blood in my veins
Blue.

Venus in an asterism
They called the Leo
Flanked above by
Regulus and Al Geiba
Squint a little
A little more
And you will see
The Sol devouring
Your sky.
